He walks through the cement forest
Witnessing dust, dirt, demise
Not even a tree in sight
Not even a life in sight
A carcass of an old elephant
Slowly decomposes
As plastic bags dance
Loom around it
Float around it
Laughing at its death
Just like witnessing a death scene
He is the only one
Who lives
Under the non-existent
Shelter of nature.
He is not intimidated, nor joyful
Just appalled
Just alone
His perception of nature disappears
As he witnesses dust, dirt, demise
As he walks through the cement forest
